The first versions of all the apps here were created using dBase back in the early 90s. Computer design was new in the construction engineering business, and my solutions were state-of-the-art, even groundbreaking. When I started grad school at the University of Texas in Austin, six Mars landers had failed. This was the late 90s. My PhD research was a computer model of the Earth-to-Mars trajectory. I solved the problem in only 26 pages of FORTRAN code. It was such an amazing solution, nobody believed me. I was expelled with extreme malice.

Only recently, I found out that the methods I used set up a whole new area of orbital mechanics a couple years after I was expelled. Far from being cause for dismissal, my solution was an important advance in rocket science.
